Babydon
So I bought my AC Delco battery (79-6YR)... Thanks btw Jim. Paid $250 for it - geez. lol Seems to be an easy pop out pop in however just checking with the team if that is true. Anything I should be careful about when installing my new battery? Thanks! JimD
While the battery tray is empty, check for signs of corrosion anywhere including the cable ends. Where the negative (black) cable bolts to the chassis, remove and clean the threads on that bolt then reinstall. Drop the battery in there, lock it down, connect positive (red) cable first, then negative cable. Double check the vent line is clear and hook up the vent plumbing. Finished for at least six years!! Cadillac Jim
$250???? Check the invoice and make sure that they didn't charge you for two, plus tax and installation. If so, go back and get the other one and sell it here or on eBay. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars.
