I have used Model Electronics http://www.modelelectronicsinc.com/ That said, you could try one of those laser cleaners, its a CD you wet with cleaner put it into the unit and it cleans the laser optics, can't say that it will fix your problem but its worth a try Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
SPreston2001
Might be cheaper to just get another cd player off ebay and have your local dealer unlock it, if cleaning doesnt fix your problem.
winterset
What code is it giving when you put your DIC into diagnostic mode? if you're not sure how to do this, search this site. When you are in the menu, it's "IRC" check the code under that module, then clear it. maybe the radio just isn't happy (in some sort of safty mode), and it needs to be reset. Ranger
Is it a Bose? My Bose will spit out copies for some reason, but will play originals.
