This bill, rushed through on the hysteria that the administration was spouting, has not been read in full by most members who voted for it. Do NOT be surprised if there are hundreds of items in there that would never stand a chance of passing on their own merits. There was a "Reparations" bill under consideration in Washington. I will be amazed if this bill was not included in the "stimulus" package. The rush to "DO Something NOW!" will, in my opinion, prove to be a disaster for this nation and ultimately the whole world. Special thanks to the three "RINO" "Republicans" who made this travesty possible. To me this is the result of years of profit driven mergers, trade, acquisitions, sales that result in the loss of american jobs technology, dominance, etc. When Russia collapsed we became the big bad guy, it was no longer considered a good thing that we dominated the olympics. We no longer have the national pride that is needed to be a world power. I hate to say this, but, we will not realize the seriousness of what is going on in the world until a nuke flattens one of our city's. We are weak willed. When the Japanese bombed pearl harbor Admiral Yamamoto said, We have awakened a sleeping Giant! And we awoke as a nation with national pride to mobilize our manufacturing sector to produce the mechinery needed to win world war two. Chrysler and GM produced, tanks, engines and more. Our manufacturing base is gone. We are again a sleeping Giant, but a pillow is being held over our face by european idealogy and demogogues. I was told that the russian people were extremely highly educated in math and science and we needed to work hard. Right now, the Chinese people are not granted any access to world news, counter opinion or controversial ideas. Control the media and you control the people. What is happening to the US people right now? Right now, the LEFT has ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, most news papers (in NEW YORK CITY, the Daily News, NY Times, and Newsday are liberal, whereas the Post and WSJournal are consevative). The left has MOST media and YET, they want to silence conservative talk radio. Control the media, we have seen it in Russia and currently see it in China. What is wrong with the american people that they dont see this? Is it that our education system is so bad that they dont see history or understand how media influences people and what affect it has on China as we speak. Does it not upset anyone that we are getting weaker and China spends a high % of its GDP on its military? I knda thought the USS Kohl and TWA Flight 800 might have awoken the sleeping giant.... naaah. I really thought 911 would awaken the sleeping giant... the giant may have roused itself for a second, but quickly fell back asleep... To wit, we have now elected an Islamofascist sympathizer to the White House, and he's wasting no time in cuddling up to our sworn enemies.... good luck with that. This is a dude who could NOT have passed the most rudimentary backround check to take a job as a low-level cryptographer in the US Military... He now has his hands on the triggers of the Nukes... anybody hear the alarm clock???? Anybody? I also can't help but agree that our allegedly "unbiased" media has gone into complete and total complicity with the new administration. We are getting the news they want us to get. You need news? Don't worry, the Party and the Pravda will provide all the news you require, comrade.... Conservative talk radio and the internet are about all that's left for real news, and they are working very hard to silence that. Funny, were'nt the democrats supposed to be the defenders and purveyors of free speech??? As long as the speech is approved by the new administration, then it's okay?? Haven't we been hearing for the last 8 years that dissension is the highest form of Patriotism??? Funny how things change.... Maybe the next terror attack will wake us up.... I hope I'm wrong.
