It sounds like you are having a problem with the ISC motor, but check for codes first to see if the PCM is setting any codes. Do a search under ISC motor for a lot of info. Do you hear clicking after you turn the car off with the hood up?

is it anything to worry about or can i just leave it alone

Can you leave it alone? Didn't you say this? > still accelerates the rpms are at 2000 then if i tap the peddle it goes down

Can you deal with that?

Did you do a search? for ISC motor as I requested?

You probably need to replace the ISC motor if it is clicking and racing like that

I don't know how mechanically inclined you are but its not hard to install a new ISC motor, the tricky part might be adjusting it.

Maybe someone can chime in on how difficult it is to adjust, I think there is a short cut to adjusting it.

www.rockauto.com has the ISC motor for $95. I will let someone else chime in on this, you might be able to clean your ISC closed idle contacts. If you do a search I think a member posted details on how to clean it

I have seen ISC motors on Ebay and probably can pick one up at a scrap yard if you are tight for money

Also maybe the TB just needs a good cleaning.

Adjust the ISC motor after replacement by pressing on the plunger. It should retract. When it bottoms out, unplug it and adjust the gap between it and the throttle linkage to 0.60. Then plug it back in and your good to go. Don't worry if the idle is a little off for a day or two. It will relearn.

Thanks Ranger that is what I was looking for, the procedure in the manual is much harder.
