BodybyFisher
I think its interesting to note that each photo has a hint in it, placing the 1953? Cadillac at the current time. Cadillac Jim
That's a 1949 Cadillac convertible. Download a JPEG and look at the license plate; it's a RI classic car tag with the model year on it. Or, you can compare the body and grille to the Cadillac History page. The 1949 is the model year that Cadillac and Oldsmobile introduced the five main bearing OHV V8 with hydraulic lifters, an engine type that is still the top-of-the-line in many cars and is even now surpassed only by the DOHC V8. That block started out as 331 cid and its basic design and layout was the earliest direct ancestor of all the big block Cadillac V8s. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars. BodybyFisher
Thanks Jim, I didn't recognize it as a 49. We had a 331 in our 55 Fleetwood.
