BodybyFisher
When I got home from Costco with two cases of Poland Spring water (1 pint, 0.9 fl oz bottles), I noticed they had redesigned as they say "with a new shape because it is purposely designed with an average of 30% less plastic to be easier on the environment". Well, I thought that is nice, the new shape was easier to hold. I get into my car, take a drink, put it into the cup holder (open), and take off. The very first turn I came to, it fell out of the cup holder and spewed 1 pint, 0.9 fluid ounces all over the passenger floor area before I could stop. Thanks Poland Spring for again being green and not thinking through the consequences. Anyway, I thought that we recycle used plastic back into new plastic items anyway? Maybe they need to restate their motive, we redesigned the bottle with an average of 30% less plastic because it costs LESS to bottle the water? Anyway, I am sure its a good thing for the environment just watch out putting the bottle in your cup holders it falls out... http://www.polandspring.com/DoingOurPart/EcoShapeBottle.aspx Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
WarrenJ
On the bright side, its nice to hear your cupholders work. So many others complain their's don't. You purchased bottled water, each bottle contains 1 pint, 0.9 fl oz of alleged water. You open a bottle, get into your car, TAKE A DRINK and put the bottle into the car's cup holder and "take off". You turn a corner and the bottle falls from the cup holder and "spews" 1 pint, 0.9 ounces of alleged water all over the passenger floor area. How did you managed to measure the amount of water that spewed all over the passenger floor area? After you took a drink, how much water was left in the bottle? 1 pint, 0.9 ounces left in the bottle even after you took a drink? how did that happen? Please explain the science behind this miracle... (goes in search of a tranquilizer) If you really want to make people safe drivers again then simply remove all the safety features from cars. No more seat belts, ABS brakes, traction control, air bags or stability control. No more anything. You'll see how quickly people will slow down and once again learn to drive like "normal" humans. WarrenJ
Does it concern anyone that bottled water is NOT subject to the same standards as is tap water? Which might make you feel safer? (goes in search of a tranquilizer) Ok, since I have a big mouth, and I took a sip, much less spilled out on the carpets than the posted volume on the bottle, proported to be 1 pint, 0.9 ounces. Regardless, my floor is quite wet. Its warm here today so the door is open to dry it out. What a day... wow. Gotta love Gore for thinking up this global warming, after he invented the internet. BodybyFisher
I have been hearing for years how good Long Island's water is. Personally I don't like its taste, and yes, I know that supposedly it tastes great. I like bottled water, tastes great, I know how much I am drinking, its convenient and easy to carry. Its a convenience to me. For less than $5.00, the price of one beer at the local pub, I have 48 bottles of water... Umm, lets do the math, ONE BEER = 48 bottles of filtered water, hmmm, not a bad deal, I can carry it with me to the gym and lo and behold, they have a water bottle holder on the crosstrainer... I like it.... Now lets talk about the health hazards of Microwaves..... I won't own one, do you ball bustas own one? Oh, and I use the bottled water in my Keurig coffee maker, oh I know coffee's bad for you... I love it.. http://www.keurig.com/ If you are a coffee drinker, the keurig is the way to go many varieties of tea, coffee, decaf, hot chocolate, in 30 seconds, amazing plus it tastes great Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
JimD
Bottled water = one of the five most profitable scams let loose on the consuming public. Never mind the obscene use of raw materials for plastic bottles that will spend eternity in a landfill. Nightmare scenario: Coca Cola Enterprises bottling facilities in Atlanta shipping millions of bottles of water to buyers in other cities and states. Imagine shipping water from a region that is in 'severe drought' condition. Madness. Sorry about your carpet, Mike. Mine is usually coffee-colored. Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. Regards, Warren Elaborate, you left too much out here There's not much to elaborate upon. Tap water delivered to your home is required to meet stringent government standards. Bottled water is not required to meet those same standards. If you Google the subject you'll find some discomforting stories about bottled water.
