It is a count of users + guests + seach spiders. It is correct for what it counts.

I watch the # members online more than the # users, but both are interesting. Often I see a surge in guests after I post a new video to our livevideo channel, or similar outside connections. http://www.livevideo.com/Caddyinfo

I wish more of our Guests would Register and share their knowledge with us also.

You coming to the next Hooters meet on July 29????

If you really want to make people safe drivers again then simply remove all the safety features from cars. No more seat belts, ABS brakes, traction control, air bags or stability control. No more anything. You'll see how quickly people will slow down and once again learn to drive like "normal" humans.

One factor is that the search spiders/bots sometimes open multiple sessions. Right now as I type we have Google.com*, Yahoo.com*, Google2*, and MSN* bots indexing the forum for their search engines. I see the spiders in the online user lists, although they are invisible to readers; (the asterisks show me who is online invisible). 99 guests, 10 members online, but no count on how many are spider/bot sessions. /shrug, more is better. The real gold though is how many MEMBERS are online, because MEMBERs are the ones who contribute all the knowledge we all enjoy.

Meanwhile, the board/server seem to have smoothened out nicely. We are having very good response times and I don't see as many dup posts, which had indicated problems with server times.
