Chris
I got a PO36 tonight. It is "Open MAT Sensor Signal'. What does this mean? I was driving pretty aggressive out in the country, had the brakes smokin', would that have anything to do with it? Thanks! -Chris
Bruce Nunnally
The manifold air temperature sensor is a sensor in the intake manifold which measures the temperature of the air as one part of the equation to determine the mass of incoming air. It may have come unplugged, or the wires frayed, or the sensor is bad. Not an expensive sensor, and not hard to change yourself. Logan
You have your codes wrong. PO36 is a EGR valve position error. Cleaning the EGR should fix the problem. STYES
Try a good carbon clean, before R & R of anything! A once a week WOT excercise, could have possibly prevented this in the first place.
