Va Maddog
I just ordered a front plate mounting bracket for my 95 SLS. From what I'm told I'll need to drill at least two holes through the front bumper to attach it. Has anyone done this and if so can you offer any helpful hints? Thanks. stsjoe
its pretty straight forward, line it up and drill all the way through put in the screws and a bolt on back, then two screws underneath. happen to have the manual here can fax you a copy of the page if you need it. is the grill attached to the hood? KHE
I would apply some masking tape over the area where you need to drill the holes. Make your alignment marks on the tape and drill right through the tape and then remove the tape. The tape will protect the surrounding areas if the drill slips. rek
I'll add to KHE's post: drill an 1/8" pilot hole first. It's less likely to "walk", and it will help the larger size drill to hold center. Let the drill bit do the work, as in, don't push on it too hard, or the bit will tend to screw itself in, rather than cut a hole. rek
