emeryrichmond
Sometimes you just gotta have one. The web is great and this forum is a huge time saver, but I think I should probably have a shop manual. I looked on e-bay and there was one new, 2 book set, for $119.00. I think that is a little steep. Can anyone piont me in a different direction? It doesn't have to be new. I have a 1996 Seville SLS.

emeryrichmond
On Helms Inc, this is all I could find. 90 – 98 large format manual for Cadillac by Chilton’s for DeVille, Eldorado, Fleetwood, Seville, SLS, STS (94CD_28540) $23.95 I don't think I want a Chilton's, I want the Cadillac shop manual. OynxSTS
The online Esi systems that are easy to find on ebay contain all of the same info for cars 1998-2005 for about $15. But they only work on PCs running XP Easin' down the highway in a new Cadillac, I had a fine fox in front, I had three more in the back ZZTOP, I'm Bad I'm Nationwide Greg

It sounds like it's the complete factory manual. It states more than 3000 pages. For 94, there are two manuals: Volume 1 - Powertrain; and Volume 2 - Chassis and Body, which were also advertised as being over 3000 pages. The description for the 96 manual says: "this is the original manual." So I looks like for 96 there is one manual, not two. If GM has only one manual for 96 then it’s going to be pretty thick. I measured the thickness of my two-volume set at almost 4 inches. GOOD LUCK if it’s only one manual.
