It could be, the only way to know for sure would be to run a compression test, or pressurize one of the cylinders by putting air in through the spark plug hole. It may not be a bad head gasket, you might be simply overheating.

Aloha Turk,

This may not be a problem. Mine was doing this for a few weeks. Every day when the engine was cold, I checked the radiator, not the water overflow bottle. I added when it was low and after a while, ( the air inside) went away. All is good now.

Keep an eye on the temperature and if it isn't getting hot, see what happens in two weeks or so.
