Where to get o-rings?

When I did my AC compressor, I replaced mine since I pulled the adapter off to gain better access to the compressor. I bought mine at the dealer, they should have them in stock. Mike

The last time I bought those O rings, the part # was 3543719. Any GM dealer parts counter will have them.

There are only three items that are important in O-ring specifications, the material, the diameter of the cross section, and the inner or outer diameter. Buna-N or Nitrile should work in the application with a high temperature rating of +275 deg. F. They can be had for about $.25 each at a good parts store.

Never underestimate the amount of a persons greed.

Yea, but I dont know the exact size of the o-rings! Where I take the car to use a lift, it isn't close to a parts store :(

Maybe you could find the store that sells o-rings, take your car apart, and have a freind take you (and the part, so you can play show-and tell) to the store. I'm sure they will be happy to give you the right size part if you show it to them, it always works for me. Best place is an industrial pump seal repair shop such as GPS, which stands for Gaskets, Packings, and Seals. Another is a place that stocks Parker O-Ring kits. Or you can go to the dealer.

Having replaced mine, those o-rings are about 3/16" thick. They were inexpensive to buy. I would hate to match them up and have it leak because the size isn't exact, its not easy to pull the adaptor given the room provided either. If I recall, I used a universal joint

When I did my crank sensors... I actually re-used my o-rings :ph34r::ph34r:

I know... this is major cheap... and its easy to get them at the same time you buy the sensors.. but if you're careful and if the car is relatively new.. you can get by with the old ones with no leaks,,,
