joeb
yes, I waited too long and my fuel rail is leaking. I will not drive it since its a good leak. gotta have it towed to the dealer. thats what you get for waiting. as far as the repair, since its a recall issue, can i assume i will get out of the dealer without paying for any "extras" they might find? joeb
since the dealer is closed on sunday, i have waited till mon. morning to call them. might see if they have a local tow company they work thru. i did not dig into the leak other than take off the engine cover. the manifold is wet and its leaking on the ground. hmm, a hot engine and leaking gas. i have a few hrs this morning to check it out. i can turn on the ignition and that will pressurize the fuel rail so i should be able to see where its leaking from. joeb
I asked the dealer at 7:30am what tow company they use and gave them a call and told them to drop it off at the dealer and went to work. my wife called at 11am and said the dealer had called back. i spoke to the service tech and he said it was done and they picked up the tow fee also. that was quick.
