ted tcb
Cripes, it took about 3 weeks, new brakes and tires, and 3 different mechanical approvals, but I finally traded for my 99 STS today. I loved my 97 STS, but I wanted the newer body structure ... but I refused to pay much more $$. After lots of negotiating and help from this board on a Carfax, we came to a figure that amounts to $1500USD, including taxes. Here's a couple of pics at dusk ... only a 3.2 megapix, so mediocre picture quality. 1989 FWD Fleetwood, Silver 1995 STS Crimson Pearl on Black leather 1997 STS Diamond White 1999 STS Crimson Pearl 2001 STS Silver 2003 STS, Crimson Pearl
ted tcb
The interiors are pretty cool ... this one has the chrome rims, adaptive seats, wood steering wheel and shifter, and rear seat heaters ... I think its full load on a 99. 1989 FWD Fleetwood, Silver 1995 STS Crimson Pearl on Black leather 1997 STS Diamond White 1999 STS Crimson Pearl 2001 STS Silver 2003 STS, Crimson Pearl
TDK
ted tcb, Great car, looking like its waiting in the shadows to pounce ... Its the right color too! How many miles? Add power to leave problems behind. Most braking is just - poor planning.

ted tcb
TDK: Lots and lots of miles on this one ... about 106 miles. I drive it as a 2nd car, perhaps 5000 miles per year ... I'll change the coolant and add tablets right away. I thought my 97 had a lot of features ... this one is staggering. I just instructed my DIC to drop the passenger mirror when reverse gear is selected for driver #1, and to pull away the power tilt steering wheel for driver #2 on exit. I also inflated the adaptive seats, then let them mold to my frame. Hopefully this one doesn't keep me broke .... with the help of this forum, my last two STS's have been relatively thrifty to operate. I would've liked a 50k creampuff, but that's not in my league ... the challenge for me is to maintain and detail the hell out of an inexpensive STS. $70k CDN to $9k CDN in 6 years .... gotta love depriciation. 1989 FWD Fleetwood, Silver 1995 STS Crimson Pearl on Black leather 1997 STS Diamond White 1999 STS Crimson Pearl 2001 STS Silver 2003 STS, Crimson Pearl
