Bruce Nunnally
I had enabled a board feature to prevent all capitals in topic titles, but I realized today it was changing CTS to Cts and STS to Sts and so on, so I unimplemented it. Scotty
I just saw this. I tend to use caps for EMPHASIS and to HIGHLIGHT.. I hope that is not taken as shouting..

Bruce Nunnally
ALL caps is considered shouting online. I also enjoy some caps for emphasis, although bold works well too. Scotty
I will use bold from now one, its more time consuming but if CAPS is perceived to be yelling and not emphasis, thats not good..
Regis
Emphasis = !!! Highlight = "subject" CAPS=yelling Sorry, I didnt make the rules. There are no actual rules when it comes to internet conversation, rather a general understanding. An administrator may have rules governing a particular site but that changes from site to site. Caps generally mean anything from shouting to merely emphasizing a point. It depends on how it's used.
