bvaubel
My 94 Seville won't run. Took it to the dealer and he said the fuel pump was shot. Put a new pump in and it still won't run. Starts and runs fine for 5 to 10 seconds then dies like you shut off the key. Did a test light on the connector to the fuel pump. I get a light. Going to do a pressure check tommorrow to make sure my pressure stays up even after shutdown. Any other ideas? Could the anti-theft have a problem that is shutting the engine off? poopdeville
I have a wee bit older Caddy than you do... does yours have a MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor?... if it does, there's the first thing I would look at. MP
bvaubel
Changed the fuel filter. My guess is the fuel pressure regulator and the MAP sensor would make the engine run rough but it would run. The old gal died at my son-in-laws which is 25 miles away. It did have a MAP sensor code along with an Intake Air code. I will clear the codes and see if we can set a new one. Thanks for the replies and I'll keep you updated.
