Just bought 2004 caddy deville great car..Says Service A/c on dash.. bought new compressor mechanic had trouble but got it in finally..however when u press A/C for it to come on nothing happens at all.. Mechanics said codes needed 2 be cleared for it to come on.. After sum research he might be right cleared codes using cheap code reader from Walmart didn't work..Read mash on/off and up buttons 2 clear.. i think I cleared them all.. the service a/c came right back..so did tire monitor. Can anyone help b4 I take 2 dealer

Might I suggest a little more detail in your title. You will very likely get better response.

What were the 2 codes. That is the key here.

Inspect the 2 pressure switches inline and see that they are plugged in and not damaged.

Was the system vacuumed before the system was charged? That is most important to take the proper charge.

Cheap code readers will not clear other modules. But am glad you see how to do it with the onboard.

As for the TPMS, do any tires display? If there is a dead wheel sensor it should show dashes. If all show dashes likely it needs to be programmed (tire positions)

Post the codes here, the AC may need to be recharged and the tire monitor sensor battery is probably dead.
