Bruce Nunnally
After some thought, I am going on record and predict that the CT4-V 320 hp 2.7L inline 4 is the V-engine for the XT4-V, (up from 243 hp in XT4), and the CT5-V 355 hp 3L Turbo Six is the V-engine for the XT5-V, (up from 310 hp 3.6L V6 in XT5). You heard it here first. BodybyFisher 1 Quote Bruce 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Follow me on: Twitter Instagram Youtube

Bruce Nunnally
Car & Driver review of L3B 2.7L four in Silverado: https://www.caranddriver.com/features/a23911984/general-motors-new-four-cylinder-turbo-engine/ Specs from CT4-V below. I note that the pressure goes up quite a bit from prior LTG 2L, and the extra displacement. They are clearly tuning for a flat torque band. May make it a fun car to drive, just run out of steam too soon. Bruce Nunnally
Nice SAE article: https://www.sae.org/news/2018/05/gm-2.7-l-i-4-revealed Code named L3B and built in GM’s Spring Hill, TN manufacturing plant, this turbocharged and intercooled gasoline 2.7-liter DOHC I-4 aims to provide Silverado buyers a breakthrough combination of power, torque, and fuel economy—minus a traditional four-banger’s noise and vibration. BodybyFisher
When I think of the underpowered 4 cyl engines in the Chevy Monza from the 80s, this is shocking. Direct injection at 3,000 psi. I wonder if they have solved the DI intake valve fouling. It also has VVT and variable valve lift...
