Bruce Nunnally
(Bloomberg) -- In a new pilot program, a California utility is paying drivers of BMW electric cars to delay charging their vehicles when the power grid is under pressure. One hundred owners of BMW AG's i3 hatchback receive $1,000 upfront to participate in Pacific Gas & Electric Co.'s 18-month trial, which starts this week and is confined to the San Francisco Bay Area. http://www.autonews.com/article/20150730/OEM05/307309897/bmw-drivers-collect-1000-to-delay-charging-i3-in-calif-pilot Quote Bruce 2016 Cadillac ATS-V gray/black Follow me on: Twitter Instagram Youtube
cdgrinci
Wouldn't that indicate that 'the grid' is now readily NOT eager to embrace an inordinate amount of additional electric vehicles; one of the original arguments against 'electrics' (in the first place).
