Jimdandy
Hello, I have a problem with heating and wanted to see what could cause this problem. I have a 1988 Cadillac Deville and when I am driving and anytime I begin to stop at a light, stop sign, etc., the heater blows out cold air. What can this be? Thanks! rockfangd
sounds like low coolant to me. Have you checked it? Welcome To Caddyinfo forum. GM FAN FOREVER Nice, clean, luxury= fine automobile
Jimdandy
sounds like low coolant to me. Have you checked it? Welcome To Caddyinfo forum. Thank You, Rockfangd. Yeah, I always check the antifreeze level, and it is full. Could it be a thermostat? heater core? vacuum line? I really do not know what else it could be. I flushed the radiator out last year, so I ruled that out. What else do you think it could possibly be? Thanks for your help!
Cadillac Jim
Possibly a vacuum leak in the mixer door actuator or the programmer, if the 1988 model has such a thing. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars.
