Heating interior problems

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have a problem with heating and wanted to see what could cause this problem. I have a 1988 Cadillac Deville and when I am driving and anytime I begin to stop at a light, stop sign, etc., the heater blows out cold air. What can this be? Thanks!

sounds like low coolant to me. Have you checked it?

Welcome To Caddyinfo forum.

Thank You, Rockfangd. Yeah, I always check the antifreeze level, and it is full. Could it be a thermostat? heater core? vacuum line? I really do not know what else it could be. I flushed the radiator out last year, so I ruled that out. What else do you think it could possibly be? Thanks for your help!

Possibly a vacuum leak in the mixer door actuator or the programmer, if the 1988 model has such a thing.
