jmadrawski
Hi everyone! I'm fairly new to this forum and don't know a whole lot about cars, but I love my caddy, its a 2000 STS, which I have now owned for about three months. Now I have made the decision to install aftermarket subs (including door speakers if possible) and an HU. I have 2 12'' 1000 watt volfenhag subs in a box and JBL door speakers A kenwood amp A 3.0 Farad Power Acoustik Capacitor A Kenwood 7202 Amp And a Alpine CDA-9851 HU I've heard that installing aftermarket parts in a caddy is difficult with the Bose stock system and all, so any tips, suggestions, etc. would be much appreciated. Thank you!
rockfangd
your original is a BOSE system? Excellent system. Regardless of bose or not it is still a difficult job. I do not do aftermarket on caddys but someone will likely chime in that has done it. GM FAN FOREVER Nice, clean, luxury= fine automobile

CoupeDTS
Replacing door speakers is only downgrading them. Its easy to install a sub, get a line converter that converts the speaker cable going to your factory sub on the back tray to rca that you can run an amp off of. Power cables only need to be about 5 feet long due to battery being under the back seat. * 1966 Deville Convertible * 2007 Escalade ESV Black on Black * 1996 Fleetwood Brougham Black on Black V4P -Gone* 1983 Coupe Deville Street/Show Lowrider -Gone* 1970 Calais 4dr Hardtop GONE* 2000 Deville DTS - Silver with Black Leather and SE grille GONE* 1999 Seville STS - Pearl Red GONE
