Roadcapt
Hi Ya'll I have a pass side rim getting hotter than the rest, so rebulid caliper or replace, the L bracket bolt on the same caliper is broken off also. Thanks
Texas Jim
Personally, I would replace it.
airmike
I would bet the sliders are stuck and the pistons are fine. I would see about the broken bolt and if you can get it out reasonably easy, replace that bolt and clean and lube the slider bolts. They will need attention, new caliper or not. BodybyFisher
For what it is worth, I have NEVER replaced a caliper, usually this is due to the sliders being stuck solid and the piston out way too far due to worn pads, push them back and free up and grease the sliders and you are good to go Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
