nategotti76
I have a 98 seville with 90,000 miles. The car is well maintained and i have had no other issues. The other day the stability system message popped up along with ABS and traction light also coming on.The brakes seem to be much weaker than normal. The message and light do not come on at all times, maybe every other 5th day.The dealer wants $140 just to check it and says the warning lights must be on to get correct scan.Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? Or a cheaper way to start to get this looked at? Any help would be greatly apprecciated.
Texas Jim
You do not need the dealer to pull the codes... Go here.. http://www.caddyinfo.com/readingcodes.html Pull the codes yourself from the AC control panel and post the codes here. Your car will tell you what is wrong with it. WarrenJ
dont go back to that dealer What CoupeDTS said... Either the dealer is incompetent or don't know what the heck he is doing... OR . . . he knows exactly what he's doing; parting you from your money $140 at a time. After all, that's his job. There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises
