Texas Jim
Do they no longer put the electronic suspension in the 08 Cadillac? The Platinum Edition (formerly the Performance Edition) has the Magnetic Ride Control. None of the other models have it.

BodybyFisher
Magnetic Ride Control is different than the electronic struts that had variable dampening Magnetic Ride Control is on the Corvette, some STS's and the model mentioned above, but its the TOP of the suspension pyramid. My guess is that GM got rid of the electronic struts due to EXPENSE of replacing them as the car aged BUT these cars do still have stabilitrac, traction control and ABS Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm

If you see "F45" or "F55", you have an active suspension. Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE !
