The rear parking sensors on my 2000 DTS start to beep when there is nothing behind me. Don't do it all the time but sometime. Any help would be appreciated.

Check to make sure they are really clean.

If dirt or something gets on them... they will do that.

They "SEE" the dirt and think it is something behind the car.

Also check the wiring / connectors in the bumper..make sure they are plugged in good.

Mine did that on my 02 Seville also from time to time. Usually it was just road grime that got on them. Sometimes they would spaz out and there was nothing on them. Not sure what that was about.

I think they beep if you back up over a certain predetermined speed (not sure what that is). I seem to recall mine doing that when I back out of my driveway (120' long).

You're correct, there was a certain speed where they could no longer work and they would just beep. I remember reading that somewhere.
