rawdjur
After a couple of hours trying to find the cause of a crunching sound in the lf of an 06 SRX. Sound was most apparent when applying the brakes and the suspension would dip forward. Over the speed bumps only a little of the noise could be heard. All bushings and ball sockets looked fine so we sprayed lubricant everywhere possible, even unhooked the stabilizer links, noise persisted. Since it was getting close to the need for front brakes, we replaced the brake pads, resurfaced the brake rotors, cleaned and lubed all caliper moving parts and put in new caliper hardware....The noise magically DISAPPEARED!!!!hope this helps someone!!!
