Between July 2009 and last month, 500 dead deer were pulled off Shawano County's stretch of Wisconsin 29 alone after they ran into drivers. There were 95 carcasses found on the highway just in November of 2009, according to the Department of Natural Resources — over three a day. This is where the deer come, I gather, to plot their counterinsurgency.
