BodybyFisher
We just recently had someone who had a bad fan cage on their HVAC fan, you should pull the fan and have a look When you reinstall the fan, keep the ignition wires away from the fan controller on the back of the fan, EMF can damage sensitive circuits Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
BodybyFisher
Bottoming out on bumps does not necessarily mean that your compressor is not doing its job or that its related to the rear air shocks. Given that you have a 97 you may have weak springs, my 96's springs went limp and I could put no weight in it at all and it would slam down on the roadway over rises and dips..., it was dangerous. In addition I could not put into a curb cut and the nose bottomed out, sometimes badly, speed bumps were impossible at any speed over 5. Are these the types of problems you are having? If you are hearing a HISSING from the rear...you have a bad air line or a leaking shock. If it is loud enough to hear... it should be pretty easy to find the leak.
