jah
Hi Guys, When i first start my car. My water pump pulley squeeks until the ECT temperature reaches 201-degrees. My question is, will putting in a water pump lubricant solve the problem?
Ben
Are you sure the waterpump is making the noise? If so I would replace it. If you are not sure, please give more info.

KHE
Hi Guys, When i first start my car. My water pump pulley squeeks until the ECT temperature reaches 201-degrees. My question is, will putting in a water pump lubricant solve the problem? Contrary to the product labels, there is nothing to "lube" in a water pump....the bearing is sealed. If the seal is compromised, the pump will begin to weep coolant until you replace the pump or the bearing fails. How many miles do you have on the car? Maybe it'[s time to replace the belts.
