thexboxpiii
I went to the dealership today. And they told me they cost $140 is this true. If it is, its to much money for a little remote.
bc6t
Check ebay! I bought a mint condition remote for my 98 STS for $14+$5 shipping! Also, I believe that you can even program it on your own for pre-98 STS'. Tom R. 1998 Cadillac STS with 102K Miles
epluzy
Definetly E-bay is the way to go and it is real simple to program yourself. I bought both my remotes from them and programmed them myself. There is a wire in the trunk under the plastic surrounding the latch that you have to ground. If you search the archives I think there are instructions for programming in previous posts.

KHE
There's a seller on ebay offering brand new remotes for $28 plus shipping. They look identical to the OEM units and he claims they are made by the same manufacturer that produces them for GM. That I find hard to believe as GM usually owns the tooling and would not permit a supplier to sell the parts outside of GM Service Parts Operations. Logan
Please be aware.... The 1996-1997 models used a 2 year remote. So....a '95 or '98 remote will not work.
