scottyg
ahh my air pump prob got wet from driving in all this snow..where is the air pump on a 01 sts anyway?
Logan
Depends. I think California versions have 2 air pumps. Most will have one pump, inside drivers side bumper, in front of the LF tire behind the splash shield. On a cold start, you should be able to hear the air pump running from out side of the car. Whirr sound for 30 seconds or so.LF corner of car. I've seen my air pump get wet and fail. That said, I think there is also a software glitch in the PCM. Cold (30-40 degrees), wet weather seems to trigger a false po410 code. I get that code often in cold, wet conditions. Simply clear the code and problem may go away once it warms up outside.
