mike
Ive been filling up free-on in my 94 STS for the last 3 years, come every summer. Now I assume there has to be a pinhole leak because of this. A buddy of mine told me to use a product called SUPERSEAL. Has anyone heard of this, or used it? My buddy said some mechanics recommend it, and some dont (in hopes of you returning in a few months for freeon, possibly?) I am quite ticked having to charge the system every summer, any advice on what I should do? Thanks, Mike
Caddyman
well, obviously the leak is there take it to pepboys for a $25 leak deteection fix it once, and you should be fine additives are not a real answer to the problem, will just cause more or just keep filling it every summer
Ranger
From what I have heard on this board the general consensus seems to be never add sealant to the A/C system. I wouldn't do it. Find the leak and fix it.
Ben
My AC guy says never to use these snake oil fixes. Fix the problem and forget about it. Many of these new crap sealers use a glue type mix that will destroy the entire system and the recovery system of the reapir guy you take it to next when the crap gunks up your system. KHE
Please.....Do not use leak sealer. Have the leak properly repaired and you'll be good for many years. Those snake-oil sealers will not seal a compressor shaft seal leak.....
