Ranger
Check the water pump drive belt tensioner. Check the purge line for flow. If those are good, test the coolant for exhaust gases.
1600dts
well I guys I got the radiator checked and I found out that it was flowing correctly so I put it back in the car I also put a brand new thermostat started the car up and let it run i heated up faster than normal but sat at 12 oclock for about 15 minutes and then started to move up My radiator wasnt hot and the motor didnt seem hot, the hoses seemed kinda warm but not hot and the biggest kicker of them all was I had no heat now I dont know what it is I am starting to think that the heater core is clogged do yall have any suggestions
Ranger
Before you replace the heater core, by the block test kit from Napa or rent it from Autozone and test the coolant for the presence of exhaust gases.

Have you checked to make sure the purge line is flowing?, I have not looked back to see if you have I would buy a NAPA combustion gases tester and check the coolant for combustion by products Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
