BodybyFisher
This is the transmission cooler line, there should be two. Mine is an in-line fitting, if yours is an in line fitting use an in line wrench, hold the big nut, and remove. Sometimes these are quick release fittings, I cant see it good enough to know. There is no pressure when the car is off, you will leak some tranny fluid, put a pan under the car and check the fluid when you are done Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm

Yes, crush them and add them to the UPPER hose, NOT the TANK...., use 4 tablets unless you have drained all the coolant then use 6 Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm

GM quit using them (so did I). I do not think you "need" them. Use them if you like. Just follow BBF's advice on where to put them.
MadeInAmerica
Be aware that the repair manual recommended procedures for replacing the radiator include disabling the air bag system so the air $1,400 air bags don't deploy. The front crash sensors are located very near the radiator.
