KenD
Well, for 40,000kms I've had a wandering rear end, lol from worn knuckle bushings. I had a least 1/4" play which IMO was getting a little dangerous. Finally broke down and bought some knuckle bushings from Tom Walton (Walton Mfg) here in Canada and I can certainly say that WOW, what a difference in the ride. No clanking, creaking, and no wandering. It's a joy to drive this thing again. Excellent made parts and with the special tool he supplies to R&R the bushings made the job as easy as 1,2,3. Thanks Tom! 1994 STS Pearl White 260,000 KM (163,000 miles) <img src="http://img45.photobucket.com/albums/v137/caesar/caddycaesar.jpg" border="0" class="linked-sig-image" />

I need to do mine, I know KHE just did his Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
KenD
Yes BBF. I don't want to post live link, but here it is without the 'http'. www.waltonmfg.com Also note that I did some research on these bushings and others that are around just to be sure I was getting the best part for the application and I believe that I did. Quote: "There are three suppliers competing for your business. Petseno is selling the red polyurethane 100% plastic parts that will rust the knuckle bore in all but the driest climate. Lsapllc2009 is the owner of Last Shot who sells modified Mercedes parts that don't quite fit so he sells brass washers with them. They will accelerate the corrosion of your control arms which are made of aluminum." Any more questions, just ask. BodybyFisher
Thanks Ken, I was hoping to wait for Moog, but they dropped the ball. KenD
I know you've been waiting for MOOG, lol. It's been a long time coming no? My mechanic, whom I trust explicitly said these are very well built. I brought them to my mechanic to press out the old and the new in and he was duly impressed with the workmanship and the ease of removal with the tool. BodybyFisher
Sounds great, you know the stability problems and noise I am experiencing, it will be interesting to feel my cars ride with them fixed.. Manny
I replaced my rear knuckle bushings with Last Shot, and they are ok. But after reading the research, I'm wondering should I replace them to be "absolutely safe"? Resistance is futile.

Thanks Tom! I had a similar issue when my STS needed bushings. Only one side was shot on my car but there was 1/4" of movement. On slippery roads, it was dangerous. Once I replaced the bushings, it was fine. I can't believe GM never released a service part for the bushings. Even more disappointing is that none of the major aftermarket suppliers have released replacement parts yet. Moog said they will have their parts available the 4th quarter of this year. Hopefully, my other side doesn't rapidly wear out before then. I replaced my rear knuckle bushings with Last Shot, and they are ok. But after reading the research, I'm wondering should I replace them to be "absolutely safe"? The rest of the car will rust away before the control arm would become weakened. I would not worry about it. Kevin '93 Fleetwood Brougham '05 Deville '04 Deville 2013 Silverado Z71
