1984 Eldorado Radio

Press the "SET" button and then use the "SEEK" button to set the hour and the "SCAN" button to set the minutes.

It sounds like the NEAR/FAR setting on the Auto Dim lights may be misadjusted - there is a lever that is close to the headlight switch knob to control the distance at which the lights will dim and then return to bright. The other lever is the Sentinel delay - how long the headlights will stay on after the ignition is turned off.

Can you describe the radio? The Eldorados of that vintage were in transition from the smaller radio with amber digits to the larger radios that were common across platforms to the Oldsmobiles and Buicks.

Yes, it is the one with the amber digits.

Is this the radio you have in your car? (You will need to select the picture that shows the dash.)

Setting the clock is done vial the SEEK and SCAN buttons. It has been many years but I think you should be able to press and hold the SEEK and SCAN buttons to set the clock.
