Last night I looked to see who was on line and searched all, and found 58 guests in the blogs. What is going on, what are the benefits of the blog section and why do you do it? The other thing I don't understand is what are trackbacks, why are they there? Viagra?, cialis?, tramadol, what is going on? Bruce Nunnally Posted July 27, 2008 Report Share Posted July 27, 2008 I'm staying quiet, since the Blog section is not very active in terms of posts, I am interested to hear what people want us to use it for instead. Wikipedia says: A blog (a contraction of the term web log) is a website, usually maintained by an individual, with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog. So the idea was that each member might have an online journal about their Cadillac in the blog section. A trackback is a semi-automated way for blogs to interact. So if in my blog I reference an article you used in your blog a trackback is not only a link that will take the reader to your blog but it will also establish a link from your blog to my subsequent opinion on your blog. I see that trackbacks are being abused by spammers so I'll go fix that; no more trackbacks.
