Key goes in and NO START... Oh no!

Recommended Posts

But you did not state that you did. Given that this is your first thread,

we can not assume that you did check them, not all owners know to check the codes.

Scotty, you are funny! :D My first post said NO CODES. :P

You can't assume that noobs check codes, BUT at the

same time, you can't "AS.S-U-ME" that they don't...

Your "WD-40 on the key" advice seems to have helped.

I don't have to torgue downward on the key that much now to start it,

But at least I definitely know my probs are with the cylinder or the key.

Thank you for your help, oh annoited one. Respect...

Listen, If you look JIM missed that you checked codes also if you look back. Your no codes was not prominent and was easily missed. You are not the first new member to show up, we CONSTANTLY are telling new members to check codes so my ASSUMPTION was not far off base.

Nor was my recommendation to try WD40 was it. I don't like you attitude, and you can BET you won't get help from me again. Lose the fn attitude if you want help, respect as butt

Oh boy, you seem like an angry Caddy owner... sorry I touched a nerve, gramps. <_<

I was even being nice, and putting smileys in my post, just ribbing you

a little about not being able to understand what NO CODES meant.

Even gave you some respect, which apparently you DO NOT deserve.

And btw, it wasn't that genius idea of WD40 or "clean the cables" that fixed my problem.

It was Jims97 that hit it on the head.

I appreciate all the guys that chimed, were cordial, and tried to give me some quick friendly answers.

THAT is what this board is all about.

What I don't appreciate is a "seasoned poster" with 12500 posts that thinks he has some sort of importance on planet Earth

because he doles out advice on an internet message board, and feels the need to be a rude while hiding behind his keyboard.

Excuse me for asking a question, and having the audacity to challenge Scotty when I was being playful and receptive to courtesy...

I don't like YOUR attitude, and I won't expect a thing out of you again. :fighting0030:

THANK YOU TO ALL THAT HELPED ME. I LOVE CADDYINFO.COM!!!

It was actually YOU who where rude throughout this thread, smiling faces do not cover that.

While you might have been a long term lurker, you came here on your first post, and you zinged people

Uh, okay then...??? to catmendo, at this point I ALREADY, had had it with your unnecessary zing response

First thing I ever do is check the codes when there's a problem. C'mon now... uncessary dramatics toward me

A batt charger will charge up a 12V to 14V +/- toward catmendo

Scotty, you are funny! My first post said NO CODES. (Again, it is NOT necessary to POINT out with dramatics that I and JIM missed that)

You can't assume that noobs check codes, BUT at the (After 5000 new members MY action is learned, especially when you hid (no codes))

same time, you can't "AS.S-U-ME" that they don't... (again, uncessary dramatics)

Thank you for your help, oh annoited one. Respect... (Respect? Oh annointed one is NOT respect it to me is arrogance)

I will only say this, if you have been a long term lurker, you have not really been reading to get a feel of this board, we really don't criticize eachother, EVEN if we miss something in a prior post, keep in mind that YOU came here for OUR help. The cute arrogant zinging smartass attitude is not necessary or appreciated.

I am GLAD I solved your problem as you noted with cleaning the contacts, hopefully your problem is solved.

The question is, given your post #27, is whether or not you are a troll, that came here to start trouble as your zinging in this post only served to escalate a bad situation. Personally I am sorry I looked in on this thread, when I saw you requesting a GURU, I should have known better.

The resistors don't go bad, but the contacts wear down to the point that they don't always make good contact. I have a two pound key chain that will do the job in a year or two; that's down from a 5 pound key chain that would do it in less than a year. I think its the constant wriggling the key around as my lead foot and joy of handling manifest themselves.

Thanks Jim, I have never had one go bad on me.

I think that your key chain is much lighter than mine. Most are.

I would like to thank GURU Jims_97_ETC for his perfect diagnosis on a bad key switch.

I took it in and I'm getting new wiring in the column and a complete key assembly.

Your summation of the bad switch because of NO CODES being throwm was dead on.

I thank you sir. You are a true GURU.

Actually, I have experience with that particular problem. Here on Caddyinfo you will find lots of people who have solved one or more problems, some of us lots of problems. Some of us got here because we came here to solve a problem and stayed because we like Caddyinfo and to give back a little of what we received, like me.
