BodybyFisher
It is the part rubber, part metal line on the bottom of the engine; We are going to try to replace it today; how much trouble is this going to cause??? You would need an evacuate and recharge afterward. Don't leave air in the system for long it will damage the accumulator, get it evacuated as soon as you put the new line in. BodybyFisher
See if you can point out what line is leaking in this diagram, I can see the line that attaches to the compressor and condenser being a biach to replace, Mike Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
KHE
You shouldn't need to drop the cradle again to R&R the line. What part of the line is leaking? Kevin '93 Fleetwood Brougham '05 Deville '04 Deville 2013 Silverado Z71
UKcat
Sorry I was so long getting back to you guys. It turned out to be a relatively painless procedure. The line was not difficult to get to; pretty simple to remove and replace. Vacumed the system out, put in new freon and oil; and whatta ya know..........the dang thing works just like a new one!!!! It's about time we had a little luck with this car lately; I was getting real tired of problems. Only draw-back is the darn line cost $114.00!!!!!! That is just a little ridiculous!
