ted tcb
Follow the attached link to youtube. Wheeler Dealer is a British show where they purchase unique cars from the 80"s and 90's, and freshen up the paint and mechanics. The difference between this and our shows, is they do it on a tight budget. Typically, they buy a car, say a '92 Lexus LS400, for about $2000 pounds. They then invest about $1000 pounds in touch ups, suspension upgrades, interior improvements, and engine parts. The novel part is they then sell the car for a very modest profit. The goal is to save special old cars, improve them, and pass on the car for someone to enjoy for modest gains. Fun cars are profiled .... BMW 635, Cosworth Mercedes 190, Mazda Miata, Saab 900 , etc. The highlight for me is watching the negotiations involved in buying the car right, and then the final sales process. The mechanic on the show is very talented and resourceful. They find parts from donor cars, ebay, and junkyards. Check out a few of the videos. They are in 5 parts, with each segment running around 10 minutes. Caution ... its very addictive! WarrenJ
Bookmarked !! Thanks, Warren There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises
ted tcb
Glad you liked it. I found some usedful DIY tips on repairs from Ed China, the mechanic. My favourite show to date was that red Alfa Spyder .... I really wish I could purchase one of their restorations ... the prices seem far less than what one can find on Ebay. 1989 FWD Fleetwood, Silver 1995 STS Crimson Pearl on Black leather 1997 STS Diamond White 1999 STS Crimson Pearl 2001 STS Silver 2003 STS, Crimson Pearl
