Chris
There is a rattle from the driver door that is becoming more and more persistent in my sts. It seems to be coming from inside the door. I removed the speaker cover and saw how the trim is attached to the door. Using the 'push-up-and-pull technique', I was able to remove most of the anchors, except the corner one. There is a plastic cover under the door, but after removing it, I cant see anything inside the door. Is there some trick to this or something that I'm missing? Attached - location of the anchor that I cant unfasten. Thanks -Chris -Chris
Terminus
"Insert flat bladed tool between upper rear corner of carpet attached to door trim panel. Disengage fastener and fold back carpet. Screw under carpet."-Verbatim from the 1995 service manual. I bet it's the same for your car. The "fastener" in question is one of those white pop in things, and a screwdriver works great as a "flat bladed tool". Good luck! 95 Eldo---Sold! 05 STS4-WooHoo!!!!! Logan
There is a hidden screw at that corner. Cadillac has a TSB on it....I suspect many a door panel were damaged getting these panels off. The corner of the carpet has a 45 degree cut in it like '\' . The hidden screw is underside.
