FlamingGoatBalls
I decided to have my rear brakes done at a shop this time to save mysel the headache. Problem is that it sounds like the pads are in contact with my rotors and its causing the rotors to"sing" some as I drive down the road. Anyone ever heard of anything like this before? BodybyFisher
Is it getting HOT? Maybe the parking brake is not releasing properly or was not adjusted right when the rear brakes were done Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
FlamingGoatBalls
Is there an adjustment to be made after the brakes are done? Ill be taking it back tomorrow if I get a chance. Theyll probably just tell me that I need new calipers or more blinker fluid : P
BodybyFisher
There is an adjustment if the brake release it not allowing the parking brake to release, they can back off the adjustment.. It sounds like its not coming off fully.. Any smoke, heat or burning smell at the rear wheels? FlamingGoatBalls
It didnt seem to help. Isnt it funny how you tell yourself that youre youre going to take these things in to get looked at when you get some free time, yet when that free time comes... Ive never done the rears on one of these before. Is there some way to reattach the parking braking cable improperly that could be causing the noise?
