wdsj
Can't get rid of error code E85. Throttle body and butterflys are spotless. I tried to follow the manual Diagnostic. How do you "Select PCM override E.5.3"?

Cadillac Jim
P085 (E085) Idle Throttle Angle Too High TPS may be incorrectly adjusted or loose. The ISC is the Idle Speed Control, which is a stepping motor that adjusts idle speed. I don't know what the ISC Jumper would be; I don't have anything on the 4.9. Someone else here with the right FSM or experience with that model needs to chip in here. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars. wdsj
I am trying to follow the diagnostic for code E85 out of the FSM. I suppose "remove the ISC jumper" could simply mean remove the electrical connection to the ISC. I can't find any other reference to ISC jumper. TB is clean ISC activates and moves My next plan was to reset the base angle per the FSM
wdsj
I am entering this just to close the post. Amazing what happens you follow the FSM verbatim. I did everthing before except - disconnect the battery terminal. Disconnected battery (resets the PCM) then perform TPS/Idle learn. all is good.
