JasonA Posted January 25, 2004 Report Share Posted January 25, 2004 Bruce, on a few other forums I'm a member of, they limit the length of your signature to 4 lines, or a minimal image of maybe 100x50 pixels or 20Kb max size or something similar. It works pretty well. I don't mean to directly suggest against the practices of some here, but as the length of a thread gets long, or if you're on a dial-up connection, it can take forever to load a thread, especially if everyone has a full resolution graphic in their signature. I believe the avatar is the place if you want a picture of your car. Or, provide a link to a webpage if you have one. It will keep the threads much cleaner and easier to read. Just a suggestion. If you are sometimes on a slower connection, you can also go to "My Controls" then "Board Settings", and select " Do you wish to view members signatures when reading topics?"
