sg69dart
I just bought a 94 sts pretty cheap....which needs a transmission....it sheared off the spring pin holding the pin in the diff. thus causing it to back out and shatter the extension housing. I've got a good housing and I'm going to get a different diff. and going to see what happens since it had all kinds of metal go through it...But what my question is, Where can I pick up myself a junkyard/used/reman/ 4t80e for a reasonable price in the south western ohio area???? WarrenJ
This is one of those questions that seems to answer itself. Obviously you need a recycler or reman facility in the southwestern Ohio area. Google and the Yellow Pages are your friends. There are networks of recyclers that can, at the touch of a button, locate the part you desire even if it's on the other side of the country. I doubt, however, you'd like to pay shipping for a transmission! Dollarwise, you need to do a relentless local search. Good luck, Warren There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises

sg69dart
actually i found one today, for $350 just about 20 minutes from my house. It is the 9 code trans too. I'm just happy I found one that I didn't have to lose an arm and a leg for. Thanks for the help. Now let's see how much of a headache this is going to be pulling and putting the new one in a two garage that has a race car a couple motors and 25 years of stuff my old man has accumulated. MAC
Now that you have an opportunity, you might want to consider installing a limited slip differential. For example: http://www.phantomgrip.com/
