bigjayzway
Well, my widow is very loud when it goes up and down, on the passenger side. I have tried to locate from where, but no luck. Has anyone heard of this before? Big Jay Life is too short to grow up!
BodybyFisher
Jay, I notice that in cold weather my window is also noisy. Check the rubber weather stripping (inside and out) to see if its grabbing the window. How is the speed of the window is it moving slower? canadian95sts
I'd say it sounds more like a dying giraffe. annoying as hell too!! A good friend will come and bail you out of jail...BUT, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, "darn...that was fun!" www.madd.ca
Ed Fenwick
Aloha, Did you try some lubricant on the window channels? A slicone spray allong the area that the window runs has helped mine! Ed
bigjayzway
I did the silicone spray, and it seemed to get louder! I have emptied a whole can on the window, inside the window, on the edges of the window, and even in the" Krown" plugs. I really don't want to take the door apart, but what is left to do? BodybyFisher
This may or may not be related, but I recall a plastic part failing in the window regulator, Logan did some work on his, there are some good illustrations, check out this thread, Mike http://caddyinfo.ipbhost.com/index.php?sho...=7018&hl=window Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
