98beauty Posted August 15, 2004 Report Share Posted August 15, 2004 I've got a 98 STS and when I took it to the local dealer (here in Germany) I know for certain he did NOT use a scantool. He used some combination of buttons thru the informaiton center - and then he told me the remote was hosed and a new one woudl cost 100Euro. 98beauty Posted August 17, 2004 Report Share Posted August 17, 2004 Yep, that's what I thought too but this guy assures me that he can do it without a scantool and it would take less than 2 minutes to do. I absolutely know he had no jumper wires, no scantool, nothing but the remotes. Maybe he's confusing Euro-spec moels with US-spec models. Not sure. Thanks for the replies.
