Bruce Nunnally
The STS-V will have a supercharged current Northstar; I assume in the future it could have a supercharged version of the future engine? I had read earlier that they ended up going with an LS1 family version of the V-10 instead of a "Northstar" V-10 in order to make it less expensive. The CTS-V has the LS6 400 hp engine from the Z06 Corvette. The new C6 corvettes, and the GTO, are getting the new LS2 400 hp engine. The next Z06 will likely have a 7L 500 hp engine. Meanwhile, insiders suggest that the CTS-V won't get the LS2 or the 7L LS7. It would match up well with the M5 V-10 if the next CTS-V fits in the V-10 from the future Escalade-V; that would make a remarkable sedan.
