93SixtySpecial
Ok, I've been searching all over and I can't seem to find an answer to this. I've got a 93 Sixty Special with the 4.9 and the 4T60 and I'm getting the E039 (and just that). It comes on 99% of the time you go over 41 or so. I know what the issue is and I know that with the 4T80 trannys you could add a different ePROM in to tell the computer to calm down and not be so harsh about the allowable slippage. Is there such a thing for a 4T60 tranny? If so, where would I get it? Thanks! -Dusty- 2006 Cadillac DTS Glacier Gold Tri-Coat with 175,000 miles 1993 Cadillac Sixty Special Gold Mist with 185,000 miles
Logan
At the time..there was a updated PROM available. Anyway, the 'updated' PROM could fix many false code PO39's. It was also incorrectly listed in GM service bulletins as a fix for false code PO93. Oops..classic misprint.. That said, PROM's have gone the way of the buggy whip. I would think the updated chip would be nearly impossible to find from a GM dealer now...nearly 20 years later. 2013 model year.. 93SixtySpecial
That's what I was kind of thinking. I wouldn't even know where to begin with a part number or anything. -Dusty- 2006 Cadillac DTS Glacier Gold Tri-Coat with 175,000 miles 1993 Cadillac Sixty Special Gold Mist with 185,000 miles
