cadillacjeff7777
Really? I was looking at those snazzy aftermarket grills on ebay for my 08 DTS. They are darn near $500! Guess that I won't bother with that any time soon. Too many other things on the "List". 2008 DTS

CoupeDTS
If you are looking at E&G grilles I can get em alot cheaper than ebay. let me know I was. It was the chrome mesh one...But I don't see a huge verity out there anyway. e&g has a website you can check. 2000-05 had a few different styles, not sure bout the 06+. I had my 2000 for a few years before somebody finally started making a cheap mesh grille for it. Im sure someone will start making knockoff grilles for the newer ones. E&G's quality cant be matched though and their resale value stays high because of their rarety. Once you get a nice grille you will be tempted to sell your old one to make some of the money back, but your car wont be worth $400 more just cuz it has a E&G grille on it when you trade it in. Its best to keep your old one and throw it back on and sell ur grille separately when it comes time I wish I wouldve saved my stock DTS grille and threw it back on when I traded mine. My special edition grille I couldve sold for $300+ but my car wasnt worth $300 more when I traded it with the grille on there Let me check a price on the mesh grille and Ill get back to you. * 1966 Deville Convertible * 2007 Escalade ESV Black on Black * 1996 Fleetwood Brougham Black on Black V4P -Gone* 1983 Coupe Deville Street/Show Lowrider -Gone* 1970 Calais 4dr Hardtop GONE* 2000 Deville DTS - Silver with Black Leather and SE grille GONE* 1999 Seville STS - Pearl Red GONE
mike5514
Some owners are installing hood ornaments on their 06dts, looks good but the grill with the emblem distracts somewhat. I think a grill without a emblem would improve the look. I have searched but cant find any. Mike
CoupeDTS
the fine mesh grille would be 442 shipped. So about $50 cheaper than ebay There are other styles. Go to http://www.customautooptions.com/ and take 10% off and free shipping to find prices. I also found this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/06-10-Cadillac-DTS-Stainless-Mesh-Grille-Insert-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQfitsZModelQ3aDTSQQhashZitem4aa9db864aQQitemZ320677316170QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories You could mount an emblem in the middle or do a hood ornament. Pretty good price. * 1966 Deville Convertible * 2007 Escalade ESV Black on Black * 1996 Fleetwood Brougham Black on Black V4P -Gone* 1983 Coupe Deville Street/Show Lowrider -Gone* 1970 Calais 4dr Hardtop GONE* 2000 Deville DTS - Silver with Black Leather and SE grille GONE* 1999 Seville STS - Pearl Red GONE
mike5514
Thats what Im looking for 274.00 and free shipping sounds fair. Can not remember the hood ornament price around 85 bucks I think. Now I will try and visualize it with my 06. Thanks Mike
cadillacjeff7777
I love the look of a hood ornament standing up at the end of the hood but have not pursued retrofitting as I am unsure if it will make the car appear dated. Can you post pics? 2008 DTS
CoupeDTS
if you wanted to do a hood ornament I would use one off of a 00-05 deville. They had a small trim ring around it. There are springs that drop down from it though so make sure where you mount it there is an inch or so clearance below the hood once shut. I think it would look plenty nice. I forgot they got rid of them. I love looking out and seeing that big cadillac crest. On my 83 the hood is straight out and you can see the ornament very well. On my fleetwood and the newer devilles/dts the hood slants down so you cant see it so well. Its just a good reminder of what youre driving * 1966 Deville Convertible * 2007 Escalade ESV Black on Black * 1996 Fleetwood Brougham Black on Black V4P -Gone* 1983 Coupe Deville Street/Show Lowrider -Gone* 1970 Calais 4dr Hardtop GONE* 2000 Deville DTS - Silver with Black Leather and SE grille GONE* 1999 Seville STS - Pearl Red GONE
